Pbbbbbbbt . . .

That is me, sticking out my tongue and blowing raspberries on hearing the news that our house will not be ready tomorrow. Since tomorrow is Virtual Friday (the weekend here is Thursday and Friday), it means we won't get into our house until Saturday (Virtual Monday).

I have a hard enough time keeping track of what day it is in America, where I've lived my entire life with a M-F work week. Now that I have to keep track of a whole new weekend? Let's just say every morning when I go to take my medicine I look at my days of the week pill box (yes, my grandma had one too -- laugh away) and feel like playing "eenie, meanie, miney, moe" since I can't even begin to guess which compartment to open. I end up just flipping them all open until I find one with a pill still in it and think, "huh. I guess it's Tuesday today. Who knew?"

So back to our house/not our house yet. I don't know why it really matters that we can't move in for an extra 3 days, it's not like we have anything to "move in." Once we're living there I'm sure I'll just be posting about how everything is all echoey and the kids are playing soccer in the living room since we have tons of space and nothing to fill it. And while we're at the hotel we get breakfast every morning and housekeeping comes to clean every day. In the big house we'll be doing all our own cleaning for a few weeks until all the paperwork has been processed allowing our maid to work for us.

So I'll just enjoy the hotel comforts like TV and wi-fi for a few more days without complaint. We'll get moved in soon enough and then we'll have to do all the work and have the expense of setting up those systems in our new house ourselves.

Ooh yet another system to get used to! I had no idea there could be so many varieties of work weeks! I don't know about you, but I think being in the military makes you excited about the next new thing all of the time (or for some people it doesn't, but for you and I think it does--did that make any sense?) so we get excited about what is next and then wind up waiting, waiting, waiting and that is hard when you're excited. The alternative is being unexcited, which is no good! I don't know if any of that was understandable or not, but maybe just maybe you can follow me! :)

The pill thing was comedy. I don't need a box yet cuz I just take my Brewers Yeast every day. I'll try not to call myself Robin in this post, maybe I do need a pill box.

I have a pill box, too, but then...I am a grandma.

The picture of Camille patroling the lawn for "fire ants" is a great one. "Girly" looks like she could take on those Rugby boys now!

So in the last post comments "Robin" was really your Mom? I'm so confused! But I'm often confused. That is why I also have a pill box and I'm damn proud to admit it. :)

Will your "things" ever find you so you can move the guys from playing rugby inside to outside? (Note, I did not refer to them as "butt-heads" but it took some effort...) Or will your earthly goods just move from country to country trying to find you? It's going to be like Christmas when/if they finally catch up with you.

yes Jan, that comment about quilting on the last post that said Robin was actually my mom. I probably forgot to log out of my google account before we left and it signed her in as me automatically. I was confused at first too. :)

Oh and our things? They are still hanging out in Egypt and may be for a while as we wade through paperwork and red tape in an attempt to get them moved here.

Leslee -- I think you're right. Since life is always changing, we're always anticipating the next new thing, lol. Hope your next new thing comes soon!
