Josh is home! Happy day!
Oh, you didn't know he was gone? Good. Then I did my part to help keep America safe. Just kidding, he was at a conference in Germany for a week. The secrecy about his departure was more for our safety than yours. Last weekend we moved in to our house, got the dog, and he left about 12 hours later. That probably explains the frantic tone of some of my posts last week.
But now he's home and I have another body to add to our dog sitting/Camille sitting rotation. Whew! On the downside, he brought home these wooden swords that have not added to the state of peace and quiet that I'm hoping to attain in our home. (I've always liked to make goals that are impossible to reach.)
So it's been bash! clack! and clatter! since he walked in the door. Throw in a little, "Mom! He's got my sword because mine is the one with gold colored screws and his had silver ones!" and you've got the picture.
Like a good dad, Josh brought his daughter home something special. Unfortunately after she put her dress on, she went digging through his suitcase asking, "Daddy? Where my sword?" Oops. Thankfully she has kind older brothers who are happy to include her in their games of joust.
She is a menace with a wooden stick -- look out! I think she looks like a peasant woman going off to fight in a local battle.
While Josh was gone, we had a visitor -- this teeny tiny lizard that the boys found swimming in our pool. They scooped him out and let him dry off on the pool deck.
Can you believe how small he is compared to Calvin's finger?

Hi Robin,
None of the pictures come through on my computer. Is anyone else having this problem?
Yup, me too, no pics. Some have the wheel like they are loading but never load. Some have a thin box with a question mark. In spite of that this post and especially your last post had me laughing out loud, so loud my family was questioning my mental stability! Thanks, I needed that!

Wow...None of you other people got those great pictures?!?!?!
Just kidding!
Robin, Oh. my. gosh! The photos of Camille and Micah! Is there an adjective wonderful enough to describe the puppy love there? Adorable, maybe but not sure that even comes close. And the peasant warrior girl! Too cute. :)
By the way, I selfishly love your blog because of the instant memories it brings of my life as a toddler with older brothers. It is 'the good life' like no other.

As a life-long tom-boy, the princess warrior is a girl after my own heart. And as for puppy love--doesn't everybody sleep with their dog?
The boys grow with every picture.
The lizard is a cutie. I didn't realize they came in 'petite?'
Glad Josh is home safe and sound.
ABSOLUTELY ADORABLE!!!!!!!!
All I can think of is Peter Pan and the Lost Boys....Isn't that also Wendy? Must be the "prequel"...
So cute...She's made a real Pal in Micah. You were talking about Camille leaving Micah alone, but in one of the videos Camille walks away into the other room and Micah follows...
Great memories....
Could your lizard be a salamander?
Think the little lizard is a type of gecko actually. Ironically there was one in our bathroom just days ago. Looked exactly like the one you all had in your pool. I've not figured out why they like our hall bath, but they do. We can find them near or on the ceiling of our front porch & carport any given night. They are cuties. :) And so cool! If you can sit one on a glass top table or in a glass jar then shine a light behind it(not too close so it does not burn them) you can actually see it's little heart beating! Really! They are happy little creatures. Always make me smile when I see one. :)

Pictures have come through. Your peasant woman looks happy with a sword in her hand. The boys do get bigger with every picture. Glad the family is back together. The cat was out of the bag that Josh was gone when he posted pictures of German on FB. Hope you can find another Lucy. Keeping a house clean with 3 kids and 2 cats is hard enough, can't imagine 4 kids and a dog!
Love, Love Love! How sweet! And fun, and delightful.....
